K-ART Titanium

This range of pots are environmentally friendly and energy - saving. It is made of titanium which will not react chemically with food when cooking.

With enhancement of the manifold technology, the wok's thermal conductivity is elevated. It is also easy to clean and have anti-adherent properties.

This cookware gives better quality performance and a healthier option for cooking.

The wok’s surface is first blasted with an abrasive to roughen it so that other elements in the Excalibur system can adhere to it better.

The most important step is when white-hot particles of a special alloy are sprayed onto the roughened surface.

The particles are then welded to the surface as they cool and harden, forming a series of “peaks” and “valleys” that provide a permanent base for the next application of non-stick coatings.

Several coats of the tough fluoropolymers fill the “valleys” and cover the “peaks”, locked permanently into place by the “peaks”.

How it Works

Whitford’s Unique Coating System

The Whitford’s Excalibur coating is considered to be the world’s toughest and most durable non-stick coating.

This coating system is made by arc-spraying a proprietary stainless-steel alloy onto the wok/pan, becoming a part of it after cooling down and hardening.

The “peaks” and “valleys” formed is then impregnated with premium non-stick coatings, forming a durable non-stick coating system.

Titanium

Titanium (Ti) is a non-magnetic element that is biocompatible. It is a corrosion-resistant material that is commonly used for aerospace, medical industry and cookware due to its durability. Titanium has a high strength : density ratio, and resistances to extreme temperatures.

Titanium can be alloyed with iron, aluminium, vanadium and other metals, to produce strong and lightweight alloys.
